Surprisingly,
I am still a dot-comer after having worked at a succession of startup
companies. An article I've written about the future of the Web,
The Emerging Paranet,
is available on this site.
My years
at startup companies have taught me several things:
- People spend too
much money.
- No matter how much
you know, you can always be fooled.
- It's best to avoid
driving in front of a laid-off SUV-driving
dot-comer.
- Silicon Valley is
boring
boring boring!
- If you build it they
won't always come (or even care.)
- I am further to the
left than almost everyone I work with.
