The Gay Shame Awards according the Gay Shame website "is the ceremony where we reward the most hypocritical gays for their service to the 'community' (that's the CEOs, the landlords, the cops, and the politicians who give 'gay' a bad name)."

2-14-04 Update: We here at Basetree.com would like to express our profound gratitude at mayor Newsom's support of gay marriage. While we disagree with him on many issues, we thoroughly, and without hesitation support his decision to stand in defense of equal protection for all under the law. Thank you, mayor Newsom.
