Remember

While, according to a Reuters story, America bid an emotional farewell to Ronald Reagan, an equally emotional and somber precession of hundreds marched down San Francisco's Mission street. The marchers, in this predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, read the names of victims of Reagan's policies in Central America while carrying white crosses inscribed with the names of individual victims. After each victim's name was read the crowd chanted "Presente!"

Other marchers carried signs that read "Reagan made homelessness permanent," "Raygun's homophobia killed AIDs victims," and other remembrances of Reagan's real legacy.
